Snowdance by Falcon Ridge Ski

We are lucky to have a little ski hill super close to our home and it is truly a gem! My boys and I spend countless hours here hitting the slopes and spending time with friends. Its "A lovable little ski resort tucked away in the woods, on the shores of beautiful Falcon Lake, Manitoba. "

Every year they put on this amazing festival that features artists of song, instrument and all other trades. They have workshops and demos and it's a really cool time, from what I have it's tough finding a sitter out here so sadly I have never been able to attend and the tickets for the festival sell out as soon as Snowdance is whispered by the staff BUT this year we can all attend as Falcon Ridge Ski decided due to Covid they would do Snowdance at Home version. Which is great for so many reasons but I think the biggest which has always been at the core of who the owners are is that they did this to support their community and those close to them and this is how they showed that support to everyone by keeping this festival going albeit a little differently but just as beautifully done.

"Alas, the ongoing global pandemic means that our annual festival of music + winter has had to take a hiatus this year.

BUT we are pleased to announce that from February 17- March 31 we will be bringing you some virtual Snow Dance magic to you in the comfort of your homes!

Presenting: Snow Dance At Home!

That’s right! Snow Dance at home is an ongoing series of musical performance and virtual winter activities from the woods of the Falcon Ridge Ski Slopes, featuring Red Moon Road, Richard Inman, Slow Spirit, Kenzie Jane, Dana Lee, and Joe Madden.

Sit back and enjoy an evening of music and winter adventure with Snow Dance at home!"

I was lucky enough to be asked by the lovely Christie girls to be featured in one of their maker videos. It was such a great experience to be able to teach and do this video. Obviously I have alot to learn about teaching workshops but experiences like these let me practice and share some of what I am passionate about and let people see for themselves some of how our products are made. I have been really blessed by my community of people where we live and I am truly grateful that and don't think for a second once we are a little further away we will miss out on all the Whiteshell or Falcon Ridge Ski Hill has to offer. This place is and will always be our home. Thanks so much to Emily who put this video together and all the other creatives taking part and putting together this beautiful organic collection of goods. Head over to Falcon Ridge Ski and check out all their amazing youtube videos.
